Le Grand Hippo is very charming, recently refurbished village house, in the medieval village of Haut de Cagnes. It has been lovingly decorated by its owners, with a lot of good taste and feel for the provencal style.
Like most traditional houses, it is spread out over several floors. On the top floor, there is a living/dining-room, with a huge fireplace and a very well equipped kitchen. If you are interested in cooking, you will have a great time! A generous dining table occupies one end of the room, while the other is a seating area (not yet fully decorated in the photos). There is also a restroom. In the living-room, large glass doors open onto a balcony, with a fantastic view to the sea, the medieval village, and the mountains.
There are three bedrooms in the main part of the house, two of them with French windows. These larger bedrooms offer queen size beds (160x200 cm), while the third one has a French double bed (140x200 cm). There is a full bathroom, and a shower room.
The main part of Le Grand Hippo sleeps 6. On the first floor of the house, there is a separate apartment, Le Petit Hippo, sleeping 4 more people. There is one open bedroom, sleeping two in a 140x200 cm bed, and a small bedroom with bunk beds, like on a boat. This apartment too, offers French windows to the small street. On the other side of the building, the kitchen opens to a small alley, with a dining table for four.

In Haut de Cagnes, a medieval hilltop village between Nice and Antibes. 12 min to the airport. 20 min walk to the beach. 5 min to grocery stores, banks and post office in Cagnes sur Mer. 10 min by car to St Paul de Vence and the medieval city of Vence. 20 min to Nice, Cannes and Antibes. 30 min to Grasse and Italy. 17 golf courses in within 30 min drive. 1,5 hours drive to skiing.
