La Lavande is a lovely village house with a French balcony, set in the historic hilltop village of Haut de Cagnes, only a 15 minutes drive from Nice airport, and a 5 minutes drive from the beach. The village has a jazz club, a couple of bars, and around 15 restaurants, two of them with a star in the famous Guide Michelin. The 14th century Grimaldi castle, and its "Place du Chateau" dominate this medieval site.
La Lavande is a centrally situated, traditional stone house, featuring beautiful old stone floors, dark ceiling beams, and white walls. It has recently been refurbished and redecorated in Provencal style by the new owner, using both modern quality furniture and local antiques. The living-room and the master bedroom are air-conditioned, and the house is equipped with high speed wireless internet, as well as satellite TV. The spacious master bedroom sleeps two in an iron bed. There is plenty of storage space in the walk-in-closet. The ground floor bedroom also sleeps two, and so does the top floor mezzanine. The comfortable sofabed in the living-room can sleep an additional two. Each of the three floors has a shower-room with a toilet. Both the living-room and the master bedroom boast a cosy fireplace. On the top floor, in the combined living/dining-room, there is a totally modern, fully equipped kitchen. A staircase leads up to the mezzanine. Outside the living-room, there is a French balcony, offering a gorgeous view over the Mediterranean and towards the medieval village. Perfect for breakfast or an apéritif!

In Haut de Cagnes, a medieval hilltop village between Nice and Antibes. 12 min to the airport. 20 min walk to the beach. 5 min to grocery stores, banks and post office in Cagnes sur Mer. 10 min by car to St Paul de Vence and the medieval city of Vence. 20 min to Nice, Cannes and Antibes. 30 min to Grasse and Italy. 17 golf courses in within 30 min drive. 1,5 hours drive to skiing.
